OtonoMe develops digital therapeutic tools and applications for cognitive support, designed to improve daily functioning, rehabilitation outcomes, and self-management for people with cognitive problems.

This privacy policy explains how Yellow Riders collects, processes, stores, and protects personal data when using our digital services, including:

  • Karman Line – a digital therapeutic platform used within rehabilitation programs

  • OtonoMe – an aftercare assistant designed to support planning, task execution, and daily cognitive strategies after formal rehabilitation​

Yellow Riders acts as the data controller for data processed via its applications, unless otherwise stipulated in agreements with clinical or research partners.

 

2. Purpose of our services
Karman Line and OtonoMe are designed to:

  • to support cognitive rehabilitation

  • to help users plan and carry out daily activities

  • to support compensation strategies for cognitive challenges

  • to improve autonomy after neurological disorders or brain injury

Our systems use digital tools and serious games to support these goals.

Our applications are supporting tools and do not replace professional medical advice or treatment, unless explicitly integrated into a clinical program.

 

​3. Data we collect
We only collect the data necessary to provide and improve the services.

Depending on the application and user activity, this may include the following categories.

​3.1 User-generated content

Users can voluntarily create content within the applications, such as:

  • goals

  • tasks

  • reminders

  • notes

  • survey answers

This information is stored so that the app can function and users can organize their daily activities.

 

 3.2 Device IDs
Our applications generate a device ID that allows the system to store and retrieve user data associated with the device.

This ID: does not directly identify a person; is used to store user tasks and progress; can be reset when the application is uninstalled or reinstalled

 

3.3 Optional profile information
Some applications allow users to optionally provide the following:

  • name

  • language preference

Providing this information is not required to use the service.

 

3.4 Photos uploaded by the user
Certain features enable users to add photos to tasks or activities, for example to recognize objects in the environment.

Photos are typically stored locally on the user's device, unless the user explicitly chooses to upload them.

 

3.5 Application version and system information
For maintenance and compatibility, the application can register the following:

  • app version

  • device type

  • version of the operating system

  • language settings

This information helps ensure correct operation and troubleshoot problems.

4. Data we do not collect
Our applications do not collect or store the following types of data:

  • financial or payment details

  • exact GPS location

  • contact lists

  • calendar data

  • advertising IDs for marketing purposes

  • health sensor data from wearable devices

Subscription payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and Yellow Riders does not receive or store payment card details.

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

  • Providing app functionality

  • To enable users to create, manage, and complete tasks, goals, and reminders.

  • Maintaining and improving the service

  • To identify technical problems and improve usability and performance.

  • Scientific research and validation

When data is used for research purposes, it is pseudonymized or anonymized.

Yellow Riders collaborates with clinical and academic partners, including universities and rehabilitation centers, to evaluate and improve digital therapeutic approaches.

No personal data is shared for research purposes without explicit consent.

Users can request the deletion of their account and associated data at any time.
